(ISC)2, the organization behind the CISSP, built the CISSP exam based on what they call their Common Body of Knowledge (CBK). The CISSP curriculum is divided into a eight security topics referred to as domains. Each domain is a collection of related security topics which work together to establish a common framework of information security terms and principles.

The CISSP exam consists of 100-150 multiple-choice questions and lasts three hours. The passing grade is 70%. To be successful in passing the CISSP exam it is critical you are knowledgeable and well prepared in each of its 8 Domains.
